Boden Apple Valley - Community Life Director

About the role

Boden Senior Living of Apple Valley, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is seeking a Community Life Director to join their growing team. The community opened in July 2022 in Apple Valley, MN, located off 155th Street across from Target. They offer Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the development, organization, and coordination of facility and community resources to provide comprehensive Wellness/Recreation/Activity Services and programs that meet the needs and interests of each tenant.
• Provide a Community Life program daily including evenings and weekends.
• Purchase and maintain equipment and supplies and provide for their accessibility through organized storage.
• Establish, conduct, attend, and participate in orientation, training, in-service education activities and staff meetings as assigned to maintain compliance.
• Communicate programs and develop positive relations with tenants, family, and volunteers.
• Able to train and motivate others while acting as a role model and mentor.
• Must be compassionate and have a desire to make a difference in the lives of the tenants.
• Foster family and community support through the Community Program i.e. newsletters, networking, activities which bring Family members and members of the community into the building.
• Contribute to the community efforts to maintain and/or improve quality of life and quality of care by participating in the following: Care conferences, QAPI, Department Head Meetings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Professional experience in healthcare of at least 2 years.

Pay

$25.00-$28.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday-Friday, and a MOD Weekend Rotation.
