About the role
The Director of Community Life at Valle Verde, a HumanGood life plan community in Santa Barbara, CA, is responsible for leading and inspiring residents to achieve their best lives through engaging programming and a culture of growth, well-being, and empowerment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement programming that fosters meaningful connections and growth among residents.
- Oversee the creation of a vibrant, empowering community culture that aligns with the "Best Life" philosophy.
- Engage residents in the "Best Life" approach, a unique and holistic dementia care model designed to help individuals live rich and rewarding lives.
- Coach and lead a team to achieve goals within various areas of the community, including independent living, assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing.
- Implement a person-directed approach to resident engagement in the new, innovative model of long-term care at Valle Verde.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work, recreation therapy, aging, business, or related field, preferred.
- Three to five years of prior related experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
