About the role
Join us at Dogwood Veterinary Specialty & Emergency, a new, state-of-the-art hospital in Dunwoody, Georgia. As a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinarian - Criticalist (DACVECC), you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to building a sustainable ICU service from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Lead the ICU design and implementation based on best practices and feedback from the team
- Collaborate with other specialties to ensure comprehensive care for all patients
- Mentor and teach veterinary students and residents about critical care
- Participate in shared rounds and patient handoffs to maintain high standards of care
- Advocate for the ICU service within the hospital and community
Requirements
- Board Certification in Critical Care Veterinary Medicine (DACVECC)
- Experience in critical care and emergency medicine
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Current AVMA accreditation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
