Job Responsibilities

Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of landscape and grounds and equipment at SC Training Sites, Fountain Inn (30 acres), Hodges (30 acres) and Donaldson Center / AASF #2 (Greenville) FMS Shop Greenville.

• Mowing, edging and maintenance of grassed areas and weed control
• Maintenance of shrub beds, pruning shrubbery, clipping and trimming trees and shrubs
• Operating necessary equipment and tools
• Maintenance of roads and grounds that includes the operations of small and heavy equipment, to include agricultural tractors, industrial lawn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, edgers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment as needed
• Performing preventive maintenance and minor repairs to vehicles and equipment
• Transporting and hauling equipment to perform daily job functions

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• A high school diploma and trades experience that is directly related to the area of employment
• Valid South Carolina Driver’s license
• Able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and stand for long periods
• Able to climb and work from ladders, stairs, and scaffolding
• Able to lift and carry up to 50/75 lbs
• Able to work in confined spaces; hot, hazardous, and noisy locations; and in adverse weather conditions
• Participation in the on-call program and to work after hours, as on call technician
