Bilingual Staffing Coordinator
About the Role
This is the job for people who hate sitting still. At Midway Staffing, we connect real people with real opportunities at some of the most respected light industrial employers around Mesquite, and we solve the workforce problems our clients lose sleep over. As a Staffing Coordinator, you're the face of your branch—the person a client calls at 6 AM when they're short a full crew for the morning line, and the person a job seeker never forgets because you actually picked up the phone and followed through. If your favorite feeling is the click of an open order getting filled fast and filled right, we should talk.
Responsibilities
Your day will vary, but may include:
- Handling walk-in candidates, from initial interview to placement
- Resolving urgent client staffing needs, including last-minute shift coverage
- Maintaining and improving the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Managing onboarding paperwork, background checks, and first-day prep
- Monitoring and improving key metrics: fill rate, retention, attendance, and client satisfaction
- Building relationships with clients and job seekers to become their go-to staffing contact
- Sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates, then matching them to roles for long-term success
- Partnering with recruiters and the Branch Manager on hiring strategy
- Participating in career fairs and recruitment drives to grow the local talent pool
- Staying informed about the Mesquite job market to keep the branch ahead of trends
- Ensuring both clients and placed candidates are satisfied with their experience
Requirements
What tells us you'll succeed:
- You build rapport quickly and earn trust almost immediately
- You communicate clearly and directly, whether in person, on the phone, or via email
- You're comfortable managing both nervous candidates and demanding clients
- You thrive in fast-paced environments and juggle multiple priorities without dropping tasks
- You prefer solving problems yourself rather than waiting for help
- You work with urgency, follow through consistently, and enjoy busy days
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience in staffing, recruiting, HR, or administrative support (staffing agency experience is a bonus)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
