Key Responsibilities
- Provides exceptional customer service during all aspects of a patient visit to Community Clinic.
- Safeguards patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) by entering data accurately and updating it regularly for all patients.
- Collects and posts patient payments correctly, ensuring that collections are balanced daily.
- Schedules patient appointments based on patient needs, provider requests, and approved scheduling guidelines.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment to reflect the professional appearance of the Clinic.
- Keeps management team informed of all activities and ongoing issues within the medical clinic.
- Adheres to relevant regulatory guidelines and laws, including HIPAA/HITECH, HRSA, NCQA PCMH, and OSHA.
Skills
- Ability to perform cash, check, and credit card payment transactions with accuracy.
- Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office, proficiency in current practice management systems, and electronic medical records.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency is required.
- Experience in reception, health care, and/or customer service is required.
