About the role
Join Elevate Patient Financial Solutions as a Bilingual Patient Advocate in Atlanta, GA. Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' eligibility for federal, state, and county medical or disability assistance programs
- Guide patients through the application process, ensuring thorough completion and follow-up
- Document cases in MPower and hospital systems accurately and timely
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain assigned work queue and collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors
- Answer and make outbound calls, track paperwork, and assist with Medicaid patient enrollment and renewal
- Maintain structured and timely contact with applicants and government agencies, arranging transportation if needed
- Inform clients of all approvals and denials of coverage
- Attend required training to stay informed about current rules and regulations
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Prior hospital experience preferred
- Professional experience working with state and federal programs
- Critical thinking skills
- Adaptability to changing processes and computer systems
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to navigate throughout the hospital and patients' rooms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
- Knowledgeable about hospital-based patient advocacy and government programs
