About the role
Pro-Tops, Inc. is a leading stone fabrication company with four locations in the Carolinas. They are currently hiring a Bilingual HR Generalist to support their operations in Monroe, NC.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions on policies, benefits, payroll, and workplace matters — in both English and Spanish.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for production, installation, and office roles: posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Cookbook new-hire orientation, first-day safety training, and onboarding paperwork.
- Coordinate benefits enrollment, leave requests, and return-to-work documentation.
- Support employee relations by taking intake concerns, documenting conversations, and assisting with investigations and resolution meetings.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal and North Carolina employment regulations (I-9, FMLA, ADA, OSHA recordkeeping).
- Translate HR policies, notices, and training materials into Spanish and deliver bilingual communications company-wide.
- Partner with the HR Manager on performance reviews, retention initiatives, and HR projects across multiple business entities.
Requirements
- Full professional fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- 2+ years of HR experience (generalist, coordinator, or recruiter), preferably in manufacturing, construction, or a skilled-trades environment.
- Working knowledge of core employment law and HR compliance practices.
- Strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with payroll/HRIS systems (ADP a plus).
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred; PHR/SHRM-CP a plus, or equivalent experience.
