About the role

We are looking for an experienced Bi-lingual HR Generalist to take ownership of day-to-day human resources operations. This is not an entry-level support position. You will work alongside the HR Manager and be trusted to run core HR functions independently — from recruiting and onboarding to compliance and employee relations — in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for a self-directed HR professional who wants real responsibility, visible impact, and the opportunity to help shape HR practices in a company that is actively modernizing how it operates.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for production, operations, and administrative roles: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers
  • Lead onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a consistent and professional experience for every employee
  • Ensure compliance with federal and North Carolina labor laws, including wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA recordkeeping, and I-9 requirements
  • Handle employee relations matters with discretion, including investigations, documentation, and corrective action support
  • Maintain accurate personnel records, HRIS data, and payroll-related documentation
  • Support policy development and help maintain the employee handbook
  • Aid in benefits administration, open enrollment, and leave management
  • Use AI tools and modern HR technology to streamline recruiting, documentation, reporting, and routine HR workflows
  • Provide guidance to supervisors on performance management, coaching, and workforce matters

Requirements

  • Fluent/Native in Spanish (verbal, reading & written)
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a generalist capacity
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and North Carolina employment and labor laws
  • Proven full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally for skilled trades or manufacturing roles
  • Demonstrated leadership ability: you can run processes, guide supervisors, and make sound decisions without close supervision
  • Comfort and genuine interest in using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or AI-enabled HRIS features) to improve HR efficiency and quality
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS/payroll platforms (ADP experience a plus)

Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or another hands-on industrial environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
