BESS Project Manager

About the role

A BESS Project Manager at Irby Construction Company is responsible for assisting with overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting and controls, and providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The responsibilities for this role span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management; project planning, contract administration, and cost, time, quality, and safety management while ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.

What You'll Do

• Absorb oversight of the construction project from start to finish.
• Play a key role in project planning, managing project budgets, and identifying resources needed.
• Involvement in all meetings, including but not limited to pre-construction, weekly customer, close out, and lessons learned meetings.
• Ensure that construction activities proceed according to schedule.
• Work closely with PM/Superintendent/General Foreman to establish baseline schedules.
• Develop daily work plans, make revisions as needed, and assemble any change requests.
• Track project costs, billings, and schedules.
• Evaluate cost versus profit.
• Understand and facilitate all safety and compliance requirements and schedule necessary/required training prior to the start of the project.
• Oversee the reporting and corrective action for safety incidents and ensure strict adherence to proper procedures.
• Maintain proper administration for employee time tracking.
• Review for accuracy before submitting.
• Maintain processes for tool allocation, inventory, and repairs.
• Closely monitor and track all equipment usage including rental, owned, and truck use.
