About the role
The Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA) is seeking a Benefits Program Mentor to join a dynamic team within the Health Access Eligibility and Enrollment Unit (HAEEU). - Process cases regularly in all VHC and GMC programs. - Be the first point of contact for staff who have questions about eligibility, rules, policies, procedures, and how to use our computer systems. - Handle escalated customer calls and make follow-up calls as needed. - Coach and train staff one-on-one:- Use data to plan and tailor individual support sessions.
- Provide instruction and observe work to give feedback.
- Review recorded calls and offer phone coaching.
- Follow up to reinforce what was taught.
- Lead improvements by looking at how our systems and processes work, spotting patterns, and recommending changes to make things better.
