Benefit Program Associate/Technician
This position is located in the Butler County/Poplar Bluff Resource Center at 1903 Northwood Dr., Poplar Bluff, MO.
About the role
As a Benefit Program Associate or Technician, you will serve Missouri residents by assessing their needs when they seek assistance. You will guide them through applying for public assistance programs administered by the Department of Social Services, Family Support Division.
Daily responsibilities include answering program-related questions, collecting and distributing information, scanning and indexing documents, and entering data into eligibility systems. As a Technician, you will also determine initial and continuing eligibility, conduct in-person and telephone interviews, and prepare summaries.
Pay
- Benefit Program Associate: $36,515.52 annually ($1,521.48 semi-monthly)
- Benefit Program Technician: $38,887.92 annually ($1,620.33 semi-monthly)
Salary may be higher based on experience, qualifications, or pay differentials (e.g., shift or time-of-service pay).
Requirements
- Benefit Program Associate: High School diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Benefit Program Technician: High School diploma or equivalent and at least four years of customer service or a Bachelor’s degree.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be the sole basis for denying consideration.
