Before and After School Teacher (Part-Time)

About the role

This role supports out-of-school time programs for elementary-aged children on school grounds as an Early Childhood Educator.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers, modeling behaviors and providing feedback.
• Implement curriculum tailored to each child's needs, fostering a safe, nurturing environment for play and learning.
• Partner with parents to ensure optimal care and education.
• Collaborate with staff and leadership to achieve goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Build positive relationships with families, colleagues, licensing authorities, community contacts, and partners.

Qualifications & Skills

• Outstanding customer service, organizational skills, and multitasking ability.
• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or NAEYC candidacy.
• Preferred: 2-3 years of early childhood experience, Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, or state trainer approval.
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Physical ability to lift at least 40 pounds and engage in indoor/outdoor activities.
• Proficiency in English communication.
