About the role

Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar. Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips. Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures. Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff.

• Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips.
• Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2 to include a medical examination.
• Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
• Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
• Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Stand for prolonged periods.
• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays shifts depending on the organization's needs.

Qualifications

• Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment.
• Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
• Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
• Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
