About the Role

This position involves setting up and operating bars, handling cash transactions, and preparing simple alcoholic beverages for patrons and wait staff. The role also includes monitoring patron behavior and ensuring compliance with established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank, and stocks service bar.
• Records sales, makes change, or prepares charge slips.
• Identifies unruly or intoxicated persons and resolves issues or seeks assistance following established procedures.
• Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
• Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
• Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of appointment or placement.
• Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours of initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment, with 4 hours of refresher training annually.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a medical examination.
• Must complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
• Appointment subject to a favorable suitability determination.
• Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Stand for prolonged periods.
• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Must meet state/local age requirements for serving alcohol at the time of appointment.
• Able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
• Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
• Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
