Banquet Captain (FullTime)

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Banquet associates during events, ensuring seamless set-up, food service, and breakdown.
  • Collaborate with the Banquet Manager to determine serving arrangements, staffing needs, and required equipment.
  • Maintain open communication with guests and meeting planners to address needs and changes efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Banquet Chef for smooth kitchen-to-table transitions and accurate guest counts.
  • Assign workstations and communicate function side work duties to servers.
  • Inspect table settings and buffet arrangements for cleanliness and proper placement post-event.
  • Ensure function rooms are cleaned and equipment is stored properly after events.
  • Conduct training for Banquet staff and develop backup personnel for the Banquet Captain role.
  • Directly supervise up to 30 associates in the Banquet department.
  • Ensure adherence to alcohol service regulations and report gratuities received.
