About the role
The Banquet Captain is responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for events. This includes tasks such as linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Other duties include overseeing general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment. This individual may also assist in scheduling required staff for banquet functions.

Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Experience and a thorough understanding of banquet service
- 3+ years of related F&B and/or hospitality-related experience
- 2+ years in Banquet Captain or Catering Supervisor role
- 2+ years supervisory experience, skills & abilities
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Excellent time management and planning skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
- Close attention to detail
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift a moderate amount of weight
