Bankruptcy Paralegal – Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL

Responsibilities

• Management of all aspects of the bankruptcy process, including monitoring bankruptcy case dockets, preparing proofs of claim, first day motions and simple pleadings.
• Experience in handling commercial bankruptcy proceedings.
• A working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure.
• Experience in conducting corporate record and multi-state lien searches (a plus).

• Proactive, highly organized professional with initiative, thoroughness, and the ability to manage complex matters independently.
• Excellent computer skills.
• High-level attention to detail.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
