Bankruptcy Paralegal – Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL

Responsibilities

• Management of all aspects of the bankruptcy process, including monitoring bankruptcy case dockets, preparing proofs of claim, first day motions and simple pleadings.
• Experience in handling commercial bankruptcy proceedings and a working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure.
• Experience in conducting corporate record and multi-state lien searches is a plus.

Requirements

• Proactive, highly organized professional who demonstrates initiative, thoroughness, and the ability to manage complex matters independently.
• Excellent computer skills, high-level attention to detail, and superior written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree also preferred but not required.

Benefits

• Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule.
• Annual discretionary bonus.
