About the role
The Main Banker is responsible for recording transactions, processing disbursements and receipts, issuing and returning banks, and managing cash handling operations at the casino. They also serve as a Cage Cashier as needed.
Responsibilities
- Create a friendly environment for guests and follow Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.
- Balance assigned banks and prepare daily bank deposits for pickup by armored transport.
- Count and balance Cage inventory for assigned shifts.
- Perform transfers with employees in the vault and cashier cage.
- Ensure proper security and accountability of Cage funds.
- Account for paperwork and reconcile it with auditors and accounting.
- Secure and maintain Casino Checkbook and register, ensuring proper documentation.
- Receive and verify all drops from soft count and reconcile paperwork.
- Issue Slot Jackpot payouts and Table Games chip fills.
- Process deposits from various revenue departments, sorting and counting currency, checks, vouchers, refunds, gift certificates, and other negotiable instruments.
- Enter Slot ticket data into the computer database, generating summaries of gaming machine payouts.
- Balance assigned chip inventory and process chip fills and credits from Table Games.
- Perform coin and currency fills and/or drops from Ticket Redemption Machines.
- Process shift roll functions in the casino computer gaming system.
- Update guest accounts in the casino computer system, processing credit, safekeeping, and front money transactions for casino guests.
- Make change, redeem coupons, and cash coin, checks, tickets, and casino chips.
- Follow current guest, credit card, tribal, and team member check policies.
- Verify all payouts and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
- Track and report reportable transactions on Cage MTLs and NILs in accordance with Title 31 requirements.
- Perform training or retraining of department employees as assigned.
- Comply with Cage policies and procedures.
- Review postings and posted schedules daily for procedural changes and proper attendance.
- Attend all mandatory training classes and department meetings.
- Perform the job functions of Cage Cashier when assigned.
Requirements
- Basic to intermediate computer knowledge.
- Strong general mathematical knowledge.
- Proficient use of 10-key calculator.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School level education.
- Typically requires 6 months of cash handling experience.

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Schedule
Non-Exempt employees receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 1000pm and 600am.
