Badge Office Administrator
About the role
The Badge Office Administrator at Jefferson Lab will serve as the primary Registrar/Activator for Jefferson Lab staff and users for enrollment and issuance of HSPD-12 compliant DOE security badges. They will also assist the Badge Office Supervisor with processing badging related service requests in the ServiceNow incident tracking system, serve as a subject matter resource to fully resolve staff inquiries, produce and issue DOE Security and LSSO access badges, perform administrative support duties, establish and maintain filing systems, and handle sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary Registrar/Activator for Jefferson Lab staff and users for enrollment and issuance of HSPD-12 compliant DOE security badges.
- Affords assistance to the Badge Office Supervisor with processing badging related service requests in the ServiceNow incident tracking system.
- Serves as a subject matter resource to fully resolve staff inquiries relating to the accurate processing of eQIP forms and badging requirements.
- Produces and issues DOE Security and LSSO access badges.
- Performs administrative support duties to update and maintain websites, policies, and other assigned documents.
- Establishes and maintains filing systems, establishes work procedures, and collates information.
- Performs various administrative support duties that involve handling, storage, transmission, and disposition of sensitive information.
- Affords assistance with administering the Personnel Security program - performing quality control review tasks associated with initiating background investigations for both Cleared and Uncleared staff for issuance of DOE Security Badges.
- Maintain positive communication and customer service relationships throughout the Lab.
Requirements
- Required: 5 or more years Experience working in a high-volume interface environment, adapting to competing priorities and multi-tasking.
- Required: Experience preparing presentations and creating spreadsheets/databases.
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma.
Skills
- High level of knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to organize and prioritize in a multi-task environment as well as to independently identify and solve problems.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Advance written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and trouble-shooting skills.
