About the role

Responsible for managing assigned branch office(s) to meet the financial services needs of customers in the community market area. This includes implementing strategies to achieve goals developed for the office as part of the Retail Banking Division's annual operating plan, ensuring compliance with operating policies and procedures and regulatory requirements, directly supervising assigned personnel, and providing periodic reports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, organize, and direct all inside and outside sales, branch functions, and business development activities to achieve growth, excellent customer service, and profitability.
  • Enhance the Bank’s image through proactive, customer-driven service to exceed customer expectations.
  • Conduct customer relationships in a manner that supports the Bank’s overall marketing efforts.
  • Work with management to establish growth, sales, and profit objectives for the office, providing input on performance measurement.
  • Ensure the branch is properly staffed to meet customer service and sales objectives.
  • Train customer service personnel on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Motivate and coach the branch team to develop employees in customer experience, sales goals, and leadership.
  • Establish specific sales and customer service goals for each sales representative.
  • Ensure timely submission of sales and customer service reporting.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled sales and customer service meetings.
  • Serve as an active member of the office customer service team, accountable for sales performance.
  • Make outside sales and customer service calls on present and prospective customers.
  • Ensure all office operations comply with Bank policies and procedures (e.g., office balancing, vault cash control).
  • Maintain proper security, maintenance, safety, and cleanliness of the office; supervise opening/closing of the building and vault.
  • Conduct regular self-audits within the branch.
  • Establish Customer Information Files (CIFs) and open new accounts with appropriate identification.
  • Review new accounts for accuracy and legitimacy.
  • Prepare outgoing wires, place stops and holds on accounts as required.
  • Participate in the development and execution of product plans.
  • Establish/coordinate Remote Capture process for business customers.
  • Review branch reports for accuracy and ensure timely submission of required reporting.
  • Actively participate in community organizations and activities to reflect favorably on the Bank.
  • Implement strategies to achieve branch goals as established in the Retail Banking Division’s annual operating plan.
  • Assist in developing the annual budget for the office and adhere to budget parameters.
  • Directly supervise assigned personnel, including:
    • Assisting in the selection of new personnel.
    • Providing orientation and training for new employees.
    • Reviewing employee performance during probationary periods and on a regular basis.
    • Organizing, scheduling, and distributing work among staff.
    • Keeping personnel informed of policies and procedures affecting their roles.
    • Administering personnel policies as established by Bank policy.
  • Communicate with the VP Regional Manager, other office managers, and appropriate staff to integrate goals and activities.
  • Provide periodic reports to the VP Regional Manager and other groups as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (education beyond high school preferred).
  • Specialized banking education/training.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of related experience.

Skills

  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, grammar) and mathematics.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, customer service, and sales skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, management, and supervisory skills.
  • Proficient organizational and project management skills.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Thorough knowledge of bank products, services, operating policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of federal banking regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of branch operations, including Teller operations, cash, and ATM procedures.
  • Proficient PC skills.
  • Ability to lift fifty (50) lbs. of coin.

Location

1700 Avenue of the States and various outside locations.

Pay

Starting salary of $102,000 yearly, negotiable based on experience.
