Automotive Salesperson - Preowned Car Sales - Sales Consultant

About the role

ELCO Chevrolet Cadillac is seeking a full-time Preowned Automotive Salesperson at its dealership in Ballwin, MO. The ideal candidate will assist customers in selecting used vehicles, explaining product performance, and completing sales orders.

Responsibilities

• Aids customers in choosing a vehicle by asking questions and listening to their needs.
• Greets and assists customers entering the sales lot, offering guidance and direction.
• Explains vehicle performance, benefits, and optional equipment to potential buyers.
• Understands and explains depreciation to customers.
• Completes sales orders, processes paperwork, and coordinates with finance and insurance managers.
• Prepares vehicles for delivery and educates customers about operating features, warranties, and paperwork.
• Introduces customers to the service department and schedules their first service appointment.
• Follows up on post-delivery matters and maintains a system for repeat and referral business.

Requirements

• No drug or alcohol-related convictions on driving record within the last 3 years (DUI/DWI).
• Valid drivers license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on record within the last 3 years.
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for this position.
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in car sales with a proven track record of success.
• Ability to work every Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm.
