About the role

Join a patient-focused eye care team where your organization, professionalism, and friendly communication help create a seamless experience from the first phone call to the final follow-up. As a Scheduling Assistant, you will support daily clinic operations, coordinate appointments, and serve as an important point of contact for patients and providers in a fast-paced, in-office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate patient appointments through high-volume phone communication
  • Respond to patient inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and excellent customer service
  • Confirm, schedule, and reschedule appointments to support efficient clinic flow
  • Maintain accurate patient information, appointment schedules, and related documentation
  • Partner with providers and clinical team members to keep daily operations running smoothly
  • Support patient intake, follow-up, and other administrative needs assigned
  • Confirm schedules with providers and clinical team members

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical, optometry, or patient-facing office setting preferred
  • Clear, courteous communication skills and a patient-first approach
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfort using scheduling software, electronic records, and standard office tools
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in a high-volume phone environment
  • A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to accuracy
  • Must be able to work in-office only; remote or hybrid options are not available
