AUDIO VISUAL PRODUCTION SPECIALIST

About the role

This position supports agency informational and messaging media production projects within the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, El Centro Sector, Law Enforcement Operational Programs. It involves serving as an authoritative technical advisor and resource, directing video productions, managing operations, and providing technical assistance.

Responsibilities

• Serving as an authoritative technical advisor and resource to Audio Visual Production Specialists in medium sectors.
• Directing video productions in a large sector, including designing sets and lighting, conceiving visuals, selecting music and sound effects, selecting and directing cameras and movement during taping, editing video tapings, etc.
• Providing assistance in script preparation, creating electronic graphics to enhance presentations, edit videotapes for roll in and review, evaluate and edit finished programs.
• Creating and maintaining existing database of video imagery used for distribution as B-Roll to media outlets.
• Providing technical assistance and/or training to staff in a large sector in using the audio/visual equipment.
• Assisting in social media production related tasks and performing duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
• Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service.

Qualifications

• You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as consulting with clients on general concepts, objectives, and target audiences of projects, directing video productions, assisting in script preparation, creating electronic graphics, and supporting production needs.

Benefits
