AUDIO/VIDEO CONFERENCE ROOM SUPPORT TECHNICIANS

The Audio/Video Conference Room Support Technician role involves supporting conference room technology across multiple campus locations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Installation, maintenance, and break/fix support for conference room audio/video equipment
  • Removing, replacing, and repairing ceiling-mounted DLP projectors and related A/V hardware
  • Installing temporary loaner equipment when systems require repair or replacement
  • Assisting with Conference Room Modernization (CRM) projects, including running cables, mounting screens, and supporting A/V installations
  • Diagnosing and resolving conference room technology issues to minimize downtime
  • Providing meeting setup support and assisting users with conference room technology
  • Delivering on-site support for high-visibility and complex meetings
  • Troubleshooting and resolving audio, video, display, connectivity, and presentation issues during meetings
  • Diagnosing and remediating basic desktop hardware and software issues
  • Identifying root causes of technical problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Documenting support activities and escalating complex issues when necessary
  • Traveling between campus locations multiple times per day to support users and conference room technology

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for this role should have:

  • Experience supporting audio/video conference room technologies and equipment
  • Working knowledge of DLP projectors, displays, presentation systems, and related A/V technologies
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools
  • Proven troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic desktop hardware and software issues
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple support priorities
