Associate Technical Training
Position Responsibilities
- Monitor and track leaks as needed and support multiple lines to keep leaks within their specified control range.
- Perform line patrols on Assembly and Fabrication lines with regards to skill standards (tact time verification vs station/line tact time), (headcount – std. required vs actual).
- Ensure that skilled employee lockdown is being followed daily as needed (example: brazers are not being moved daily – same brazers on same stations daily).
- Help ensure proper staffing of skilled workers vs workload of lines each day.
- Provide classroom and hands-on training to employees regarding safety, quality, HVAC, equipment, and procedures per the training protocols.
- Conduct audits and time studies of line conditions and practices to ensure employees are applying appropriate techniques, following defined processes and safety requirements. Provide feedback on audits to employees and reports to management team regarding audit results.
- Ensure that 5S principles are followed in the dojo training area, serving as a model for the rest of the plant.
- Aid in Kaizen teams and continuous improvement projects to reduce quality related defects including recommendations of product design for fixtures, and recommendations for line layout improvements.
- Send out end of shift reports for applicable areas – with explanation of quality defects that are above the set limits.
- Focus on continuous improvement projects for skill related items and processes.
- Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

Experience
3+ years of progressive work experience in the skill.
Education/Certification
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Degree or certification from college or trade/vocational school preferred.
- Successfully completed the Approved trainer program for the skill and become Certified as an Approved Trainer by Daikin’s Knowledge Development Center, which requires on average about 9~12 weeks of classroom and/or on the job training.
People Management
No Physical Requirements / Work Environment: Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials up to 30 pounds. Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe boots, and hardhats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Limited travel may be required; potential for international up to 5%.
