Technical Trainer Associate
About the Role

As a Technical Training Specialist, you will plan, develop, and implement technical product training programs for customers, employees, and field support personnel. This role involves creating standard and customized training modules, preparing lesson plans, designing product demonstrations, and developing course content.
You will obtain information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software, and product requirements to prepare training programs. Responsibilities include conducting training sessions, product demonstrations, and evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. You may also utilize trainers with technical expertise, administer tests, and continuously revise lesson plans to ensure course material reflects product features and meets new training requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and implement technical product training programs for customers, employees, and field support personnel.
- Obtain information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software, and product requirements to prepare training programs.
- Prepare lesson plans and training materials; design product demonstrations.
- Develop course content, determine methodology, and coordinate the development of training aids.
- Conduct training sessions and product demonstrations.
- Develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
- Utilize trainers with technical expertise and administer tests as needed.
- Continuously revise lesson plans to ensure course material reflects product features, meets new training requirements, and keeps technical information up to date.
- May include military trainers as part of the training delivery.
Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated competence in manufacturing process procedures being taught (e.g., certifications, relevant coursework, or hands-on experience).
- Instructional Skills: Ability to design and deliver clear, engaging training sessions, including knowledge of adult-learning principles and effective presentation techniques.
- Communication Ability: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts in simple terms and responding to learner questions.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience providing a practical perspective to training.
Desired Skills
- Current certification as an IPC-610 and/or J-STD instructor or the ability to become one within a year of hire.
- Process Instructor certification in one or more areas and the willingness to obtain more.

For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) for incidental absences and receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month, up to 52 hours of sick leave annually, and receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $49,500.00 - $91,900.00. The salary offered considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and market considerations (work location and business needs).
