About the role

The Associate Patient Care Coordinator works under the Center Administrator to provide front office support functions including appointment scheduling, patient registration, cashiering, answering calls, managing medical records, and handling other related clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Greets patients as they arrive and manages appropriate standard wait times
  • Completes check-in and check-out tasks such as patient demographic verification, insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and precertification of procedures, and copies required documents
  • Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts
  • Manages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies
  • Answers phones and schedules appointments
  • Assists with answering caller inquiries, taking messages, and redirecting calls
  • Maintains medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)
  • Scans and/or files correspondence, processes medical record release requests, and maintains appropriate logs
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service
  • Beginner level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience with medical office processes
  • 1+ years of experience in a Medical Assistant role
  • 1+ years of related work experience including data entry
  • Prior experience with EMR computer applications

Skills

  • Customer service skills
  • Basic administrative and clerical skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Medical office processes knowledge

Pay

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. Please note that pay rates can vary based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other factors.

Schedule

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
