About the role

Bellwether is a global advisory firm specializing in dynamic growth strategies for businesses. We manage and analyze over $40 billion of AUM across real estate-related assets in North America, Europe, and Asia. Our firm is privately held and operates out of multiple locations including Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Salt Lake City, London, and Dallas.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret loan documents to determine key loan data related to loan payment calculations, escrow setup and tracking, monthly fees, payoff calculations, and loan covenants;
  • Aid in the onboarding process for new loans or loan portfolios, ensuring data integrity;
  • Perform quality control checks within the servicing system;
  • Maintain and monitor tax and insurance reserves and escrow accounts, conducting routine escrow analyses;
  • Coordinate lien releases and UCC continuations and terminations;
  • Verify completeness and compliance of monthly draw requests, including review of budgets, back-up documentation, title updates, and inspection reports;
  • Generate and review monthly billing statements and payoff statements;
  • Create and review remittance reports due to investors;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, borrowers, and key stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with the treasury department for daily cash management functions, payment and disbursement tracking, and escrow account reconciliation;
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior team members;
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures;
  • Perform additional ad-hoc analysis, projects, and reporting as requested.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Commercial Real Estate Loan Servicing is required. Bridge and Construction Loan Servicing experience is preferred. Experience with Strategy Servicing Software is valued but not required. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.

They should have a strong background in Commercial Real Estate Loan Servicing and possess the technical skills necessary to handle loan servicing responsibilities.
