About the role
Guggenheim Securities, LLC is seeking a talented, motivated individual to join a small, collegial, team-oriented legal department in support of the firm’s fast-growing investment banking and capital markets business.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate and maintain key documentation associated with investment banking and capital markets transactions, including engagement letters, non-disclosure agreements, marketing and disclosure documents and disclaimers
- Advises on legal, regulatory, and reputational risks across a wide range of coverage areas
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of legal templates, playbooks, and contract management systems
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders across the firm to deliver timely, practical legal guidance
- Supports senior legal team on transactional and restructuring matters such as assistance with Chapter 11 filings, disclosures and court documents
Requirements
- At least two years of work experience with a reputable law firm in a transactional law practice, with a J.D. from an accredited law school, admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Exposure to sophisticated corporate legal practice (with experience in securities and capital markets practice areas preferred)

- High professional maturity; confident engaging with senior bankers and external counsel
- Sound judgment with an ability to identify practical solutions to business questions in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- Able to multi-task, meet dynamic deadlines and prioritize among multiple assignments
Skills
- Knowledge of the financial services industry, and awareness of laws, rules, regulatory requirements and risks impacting broker-dealers
- Effective process management abilities
- Self-starter who enhances technical skills and knowledge through hands-on experience, research and staying current with best practices and relevant developments
- Interest in developing the “trusted advisor” brand and building internal and external contact networks
- Highly motivated, critical thinker, who has sound judgment and is proactive, innovative and creative
Pay
Annual base salary between $165,000 - $200,000. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.
Schedule
Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office at least 4 days per week.
