Associate Director User Experience
About the role
This is a key role, leading the strategic development of customer focussed services and partnerships across our four libraries and evolving digital service environment. Our collaborative approach is paramount from co-designing with students and researchers to working with local communities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development of customer focussed services and partnerships across the University's four libraries and evolving digital service environment.
- Collaborate with students, researchers, and local communities to co-design library and learning spaces.
- Support the implementation of the Digital and Estates Strategic Plans, contributing to the design and development of library and learning spaces.
- Engage strategically with senior colleagues across the academic and professional services community to support and motivate staff.
Requirements
Extensive experience in a customer services environment, a good understanding of what enables excellent customer service, and the ability to think both analytically and creatively. Strong customer focus and leadership skills are essential.
Qualifications
A relevant degree and/or professional qualifications in a related field, along with a track record of successful leadership and collaboration.

- Strong customer service and service improvement expertise.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in leading long-term engagement with a range of users and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with staff and senior colleagues.

Pay
The salary scale for this role is £46,921 - £54,845 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
Schedule
The role is full-time and permanent.
