Associate Clinical Professor or Clinical Professor (Non-Tenure Track), Director of Professional Programs

About the Role

The Associate Clinical Professor or Clinical Professor, Director of Professional Programs is a full-time, non-tenure track appointment at the University of the Pacific, Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy. The Director of Professional Programs serves as a member of the Department of Pharmacy Practice, Office of Professional Programs. In collaboration with the Associate Dean of Professional Programs, the Director oversees the overall coordination of the experiential curriculum, supports Regional Coordinators, and supervises administrative staff in the Office of Professional Programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall coordination of the experiential curriculum.
• Support Regional Coordinators within the Office of Professional Programs.
• Supervise administrative staff in the Office of Professional Programs.
• Integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge into work.
• Advance social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.

Requirements

• Pharm.D. degree with residency and/or fellowship, or equivalent experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist or eligible for licensure in California.
• Current Regional Coordinator within the University of the Pacific.
• At least 5 years of experiential education coordination experience.
• Clinical practice experience.
• Strong leadership, ethical conduct, professionalism, and multicultural competence.
• Effective interpersonal communication and management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Demonstrated experience advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
• Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices.

Physical Requirements

• Extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand/wrist motion while using a computer keyboard and phone.
• Occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

• Work is performed during standard business hours; additional hours may be required to meet deadlines.
• Travel to various regions is required.

The rank of this position (Associate Clinical or Clinical Professor) will be determined based on the hiring qualifications of the individual.
