Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure): Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor
About the role
The Department of Public Health Sciences in the College of Dentistry at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time academic professional track (non-tenure) faculty position with an 11-month service period starting in August, 2026, or negotiable. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor; rank commensurate on review of qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the behavioral science curriculum across the DDS and dental hygiene programs, including instruction in health behavior theory, motivational interviewing, patient communication, cultural competence, and social determinants of oral health, etc.
- Establish a research program focused on community engagement and implementation science and pursue extramural research funding.
- Participate in the College’s community outreach and engagement activities to enhance the College’s community impact.
Requirements
- PhD in behavioral science, implementation science, psychology, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated training and experience in behavioral science relevant to health or oral health.
