Job Responsibilities
- Provide education and training to families of children with autism, educational personnel, members of the community, and significant others in the north central region of West Virginia.
- Lead and conduct family-centered planning activities and provide multi-tiered positive behavior supports to registered individuals diagnosed with ASD, family members, caregivers, educators, and others significant to their lives.
- Facilitate training, coaching, and the development of a Positive Behavior Support (PBS) plan through collaboration with team members.
- Develop and provide various community and educational trainings on PBS and special topics related to autism for registered clients, families and community partners of the WV ATC.
- Deliver informational and/or educational training programs to local communities.
Qualifications
- Have excellent written and communication skills.
- Develop and conduct assessments of behavior and skills including functional assessments.
- Use experimental research designs to make data-driven autism program decisions.
- Design assessments of current levels of functioning of individuals with autism.
- Prepare written reports of outcomes for presentations at state or national conferences, or for publication in professional journals and newsletters.
