Assistant Store Manager - Full-Time

Role Overview The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in maintaining a clean, organized store with a customer-focused approach. They assist with supervising employees, managing merchandise presentation, completing paperwork, and preparing deposits. The role includes stocking, cashiering, and performing duties to maximize profitability, ensure customer satisfaction, and protect assets. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting shoppers, operating cash registers, and processing transactions.Assist with employee scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.Manage merchandise flow, including receiving, stocking, display setup, and inventory control.Maintain financial integrity through cash handling, cashier accountability, and deposit management.Support store operations during the Store Manager’s absence and ensure adherence to security protocols. Qualifications & Skills Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to interpret manuals, perform mathematical calculations, and operate cash register systems.Knowledge of cash handling, security, and safety policies.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; retail and supervisory experience advantageous. Working Conditions Frequent standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, climbing, and exposure to varying environments. Must have reliable transportation for banking and store visits. The environment is fast-paced with moderate noise levels.
