Assistant Store Manager - Full-Time

Role Overview Assist in managing store operations, ensuring a clean, organized environment with a customer-first focus. Support the Store Manager in supervising employees, merchandise presentation, inventory control, and financial procedures. Perform stocking, cashiering, and other duties to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while safeguarding assets. Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service, greet customers, operate cash registers, and assist with purchases.Support store opening and closing duties.Help with employee scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, rotating, and display setup.Maintain accurate inventory, control damages and markdowns, and follow planograms.Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability, cash handling, and deposit procedures.Assist in store management during the Store Manager’s absence. Qualifications & Skills Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to interpret manuals, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash operations.Knowledge of security, cash handling, and safety policies.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; retail and supervisory experience advantageous. Working Conditions Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.Use of various equipment and occasional outdoor exposure.Fast-paced environment with moderate noise; may require travel for banking, meetings, or store visits.
