Assistant Store Manager - Full-Time

Role Overview The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations with a customer-focused approach. They assist in supervising staff, managing merchandise presentation, completing paperwork, and handling deposits. The role involves performing stocking, cashiering, and other duties to enhance profitability, customer satisfaction, and asset protection. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service; greet customers and operate cash registers.Assist with employee scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, and display according to planograms.Maintain accurate inventory levels; control damages and markdowns.Ensure financial integrity through cash handling, cashier accountability, and deposit procedures.Support store management in absence, ensuring smooth operations. Qualifications & Skills Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to interpret manuals and perform mathematical calculations.Knowledge of cash handling, security, and safety policies.Experience in retail and supervisory roles preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended. Working Conditions Frequent standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, and exposure to various environmental conditions. Ability to operate equipment, climb ladders, and drive for banking and store visits is required.
