About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the overall operation of the store with a customer-first focus. The role involves performing stocking, cashiering, and administrative duties to maximize profitability and reduce losses.

Responsibilities

• Providing superior customer service by greeting and assisting customers, operating cash registers, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Assisting with staff supervision by helping with employee scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Managing merchandise presentation through receiving, stocking, rotating, and creating displays according to planograms.
• Maintaining inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Ensuring financial integrity through cashier accountability, cash handling, key control, and security practices.
• Supporting store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
