Assistant Store Manager - Full-Time

Role Overview The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations with a focus on customer service, merchandise management, and safety compliance. They assist with supervising staff, handling merchandise receiving, stocking, and displays, and ensuring accurate inventory and financial procedures. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service and operate cash registers.Assist with employee scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy adherence.Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, and display according to planograms.Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages and markdowns.Support financial integrity through cashier accountability, key control, and deposit management.Help oversee store operations in the Store Manager’s absence. Qualifications & Skills Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to interpret documents, perform math calculations, and handle cash procedures.Knowledge of safety, cash handling, and security policies.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; retail and supervisory experience beneficial. Working Conditions Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.Exposure to outside weather and fast-paced environment.Occasional use of ladders and handling merchandise with equipment.
