About the Role

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus School of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking an Academic Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine physician. The position rank is open (Assistant or Associate Professor) and will provide medical services in both inpatient and outpatient environments at Children's Hospital Colorado and potential sites within its network of care.

This role is ideal for a team-oriented professional with strong teaching and academic interests, dedicated to advancing pediatric rehabilitation medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care in inpatient settings, including service on the inpatient rehabilitation unit and inpatient rehabilitation consultation team.
  • Participate in general rehabilitation clinics and multi-disciplinary clinics.
  • Educate Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine fellows, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residents, medical students, and physical therapy students.
  • Engage in quality improvement activities and pursue scholarly activities, including mentoring residents and fellows.
  • Support the continued growth of the department at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD/DO from an accredited institution.
  • Board certified/eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
  • Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.

Assistant Professor:

  • Preferred: 3 years of experience in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.

Associate Professor:

  • 5 years of experience in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience caring for patients with high medical and psychosocial complexity.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a rehabilitation team and develop relationships within the medical community.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is:

  • Assistant Professor: $211,600 - $238,000
  • Associate Professor: $251,000 - $292,000
  • This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless non-exempt. Total compensation includes generous leave, health plans, and retirement contributions.

    Full-time, onsite role located in Aurora, Colorado.
