About the role

The School of Business Administration at Oakland University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Finance, beginning August 15, 2026. Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the time of appointment. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to produce high-quality scholarly research and a commitment to excellence in teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Engage in high-quality scholarly research.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of instructional technology and global management efforts within the school.

Requirements

  • Hold a Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution by August 15, 2026.
  • Advanced ABD candidates will be considered, provided all requirements for the Ph.D. are completed by August 15, 2026.

  • Expertise across all areas of finance.
  • Preference given to those with demonstrated teaching expertise in financial analytics.
