Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses in finance, including Managerial Finance, Investments, Financial Modeling, Risk & Insurance, International Finance, Money & Banking, and supervise internships.
  • Engage in professional development activities and maintain professional contacts.
  • Participate in recruiting and retention efforts.
  • Play an active role in Finance Club and/or Accounting Club activities.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated education or experience supporting the teaching of specified finance, accounting, or business classes.
  • A demonstrated record of excellence and innovation in teaching.
  • A commitment to service as a faculty advisor, student organization advisor, and active member of an undergraduate teaching team.
  • A strong network in the finance industry and business connections.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a finance and/or accounting role.
  • A strong understanding of and commitment to the Trine culture and to the Angola community.
  • Candidates will be committed to working full-time at Trine and serving students and the university in a variety of ways.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling software and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Eviews, etc.) is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Education

  • A terminal degree in Finance or Accounting or a closely related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum qualification for the position is a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
  • Candidates with at least a Master’s degree and extensive experience in finance or accounting will be strongly considered.
