About the role

The Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business at Mount St. Mary’s University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor or Lecturer of Finance faculty position beginning August 2026.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Teaching requirement: 21 credits between the Fall and Spring semesters, including a combination of undergraduate and graduate courses in finance.
  • Undergraduate courses are primarily delivered in person and offered during the day with some evening options, while graduate courses are delivered using online synchronous and asynchronous formats.
  • Serve as the primary contact for student recruitment and advising for the finance major and minor.
  • Participate in school and university-wide committees, advise students majoring in the school's programs, develop course curriculum, participate in assessment, remain current in their discipline, and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Qualifications Required: Ph.D. or Graduate degree in Finance, Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.
  • Prior university-level teaching experience, Evidence of scholarly engagement and professional development, An earned Professional Certification (e.g. CFP, CFA, or ChFC).

Salary Range

  • Lecturer: $58,000 – $70,000
  • Assistant Professor: $68,000 – $80,000
