About the role
Tusculum University seeks an Assistant Professor of Biology, with a focus on microbiology, genetics, and/or molecular and cellular biology, for the upcoming Fall 2026 semester. Located in the foothills of the Southern Appalachian Mountains, Tusculum University offers the successful candidate the opportunity to engage in meaningful experiential learning.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A master’s degree required; a PhD preferred in biology or a closely related field.
- Experience teaching undergraduates is required.
- An ability to work effectively with learners of varying preparation levels is essential.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a minimum of 12 credits per semester, providing academic advising, participating in service activities, engaging in scholarly pursuits, and pursuing professional development.
