Assistant Professor, Aftermarket Management
Roles
Northwood University seeks a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills, significant industry experience and a strong record of teaching at the undergraduate level to begin teaching in the Fall 2026 semester at our Midland, Michigan campus. The candidate will be hired with the rank of assistant professor.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Automotive Aftermarket Management, Management, and/or Marketing.
- Participate in ongoing curriculum planning and review.
- Supervise internships and/or practicums.
- Engage in research and scholarly activities.
- Participate in professional and instructional development.
- Assume roles as department chair and program quality lead.
- Contribute to university committee activities.
- Engage in recruitment and retention activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a business-related discipline.
- Five or more years of experience directly related to the Automotive Aftermarket Industry.
- Experience training and/or teaching.
- PREFERRED: Earned Doctorate or terminal degree from an accredited institution (such as J.D., Ph.D., OBA; ABD candidates considered if completion date is within one year of hire).
- Experience teaching undergraduate courses.
