Assistant Professor - Management
The Robert B. Willumstad School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Management starting Fall 2027. Adelphi is reviewing recent governmental changes to the H1B process and encourages all qualified candidates to apply.
Responsibilities
- Teach three courses (9 credits) each semester at the graduate and undergraduate levels at the School's campus in Garden City, New York, and other off-campus locations.
- Teaching assignments may occur during the day, evening, night, and/or on weekends.
- Courses may be delivered in various formats including on-line, blended, and face-to-face.
- Participate in course, curriculum, and program development.
- Advise students and provide career guidance.
- Achieve Scholarly-Academic status by publishing in refereed journals.
- Engage in department, school, and university service activities.
- Teaching assignments may occur during the day, evening, night, and/or on weekends.
Qualifications
- PhD or DBA in management/business administration or related field with specialization in Strategic Management, Digital Transformation, Technology and Innovation, or AI-related to management from an accredited university.
- Demonstrated ability to teach a wide range of courses in management (e.g., Strategic Management, Business Policy and Strategy, Management of Technology, Team-Building, and Negotiation Skills).
- ABD status with a projected degree by August 2027 may also be considered.
- Excellent teaching record as evidenced by course evaluations.
- Potential or established record of scholarly publications.
- Ability to teach and relate to a diverse, international student body.
- Training and/or experience in data analytics/digital management is highly desirable.
- Professional experience in the business world, including creating and managing one’s own business, is preferred.

Salary Information
In compliance with New York's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $128,000 - $132,000. Adelphi University considers factors such as departmental budgets, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. An annual base salary higher than the range may be warranted in circumstances where a candidate has demonstrable equivalent prior higher education experience at another University.
