Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a talented Pastry Chef who shares our passion for food quality, customer service, community, and is ready to join a dynamic team.

About the Role

You will be part of a team offering a unique menu selection of more than 40 fresh baked pastries, pies, cakes, & muffins made with honest, whole ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and pay close attention to details to create one-of-a-kind pastries & baked goods.
• Lift large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 lbs. or more and stand, lift, and mix daily.
• Work through change and be flexible while keeping a close eye on what's cooking.
• Start shifts early, rising before the sun.

Requirements

• Proven track record of super-hero abilities in the kitchen, including following recipes and paying close attention to details.
• Experience in large-scale baking/pastry, with a preference for experience in decorating amazing pastries.
• Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handler & sanitation standards.
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus but not required.
• At least 18 years of age.

• A love of rising early - Pastry Chef shifts start very early.
• Large-scale baking/pastry experience, with a focus on decorating pastries.
• Attention to compliance with food handler & sanitation standards.
• Formal baking/pastry education is beneficial but not mandatory.
