About the role

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented Pastry Chef who is passionate about food quality, customer service, community, and as we are!

Responsibilities

• Be part of a dynamic team offering a unique menu selection of more than 40 fresh baked pastries, pies, cakes, & muffins made with honest, whole ingredients.
• Follow recipes and pay close attention to details to create one-of-a-kind pastries & baked goods.
• Lift large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 lbs. or more and stand, lift, and mix daily.
• Work through change and be flexible while keeping a close eye on what’s cooking.
• Start shifts early, as Pastry Chef positions require being an early bird.

Requirements

• Proven track record of super-hero abilities in the kitchen, including following recipes, paying close attention to details, and creating one-of-a-kind pastries & baked goods.
• The ability to work through change and be flexible while maintaining focus on the kitchen operations.
• A love of rising early, as Pastry Chef shifts start very early.
• 1+ years of large-scale baking/pastry experience, with experience in quickly decorating amazing pastries (preferred).
• Attentiveness to local, state, and federal regulations for food handler & sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus but not required.
• At least 18 years of age to apply for the role.
