About the role

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented Pastry Chef who is passionate about food quality, customer service, community, and as we are!

Responsibilities

• Part of a dynamic team offering a unique menu selection of more than 40 fresh baked pastries, pies, cakes, & muffins made with honest, whole ingredients.
• Lift large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 lbs. or more and stand, lift, and mix daily.
• Create one-of-a-kind pastries and baked goods following recipes and paying close attention to details.
• Work through change and be flexible while keeping a close eye on what’s cooking.
• Start shifts early, rising before the sun comes up.

Requirements

• Proven track record of super-hero abilities in the kitchen, including following recipes, paying close attention to details, and creating one-of-a-kind pastries and baked goods.
• The ability to work through change and be flexible while maintaining focus on the culinary process.
• Experience in large-scale baking and pastry, with a preference for experience in decorating amazing pastries.
• Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handler and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ years of large-scale baking/pastry experience.
• A formal baking/pastry education is a bonus but not required.
